Principal Mr. ZOU Changzheng is a M.A. supervisor in Southeast University and a senior professor with brilliant achievements in his field of teaching and research work. He is the head of the Southeast University English Language Teaching Institute. He studied in U.K. in his early years, and then he was appointed as the dean of the Department of Foreign Languages in SEU. Due to his outstanding academic contribution, he was awarded the Special Subsidy by the Sate Council in 1990. In 1993 he was promoted as a principal professor. His rich experience in teaching research and management have won him fruitful achievements in his academic work, including more than 30 sets of teaching materials, one of which was broadcast over CCTV Channel 2. His distinguishing achievements brought him a good reputation and the State Education Bureau, the Provincial Bureau of Education in Jiangsu, repeatedly awarded him for it . His recent research work has aroused great attention, mainly in the fields of learner’s interest, learning mechanism, multimedia teaching, bilingual and fundamental education.

On entering the 21st century, international merging is an inevitable trend. Globalization and multi-cultural exchanges is more intensive in the 21st century, and this consequently demands more from internationalization of personnel qualification. Facing the intense competition, with the spirit of cultivating students with “worldwide outlook, noble morale, scientific mind, cultural excellence and comprehensive talents with individual personality, ” my colleagues and I offer students the first-class quality education.
