We believe that children learn better and retain more when they are actively involved in what they are doing. At the NJCBS l, everything that is happening in a child's experience is connected together by a common thread or theme, making it easier for students to relate to the concepts being taught, maintain their concentration and grasp understanding. For example, if they read about the rainforest, categorize rainforest animals, sing about the rainforest and draw a picture in art then they find it easier to get a more complete picture and understanding.
